Show fundraiser will feed 650 kids for a month
I'm really excited to share this morning that the tally room has crunched all the numbers from our biggest annual Cambodia projects fundraiser on Saturday, the pop up canteen at the Kingscote Show, and the results are in.
After costs and taking into account some last minute sales and donations yesterday, the profit from the day was just shy of $5,000 which is a remarkable achievement once again.
To put this into perspective, it will enable us to provide a daily nutritious meal to over 650 kids at our two primary schools for over a month or cover the running costs of our high school boarding house where upto 65 young people receive free accommodation, food and mentoring for more than four months.
A massive thank you to those who turned up and volunteered on the day, donated delicious baked goods for us to sell, bought some of those goodies, offered a kind word or extra donation and the show society for putting on such a great event for our community. As usual there were plenty of 'keep the change' moments throughout the day and we signed on many new ambassadors for the projects keen to find out more about the amazing transformation that is taking place in the villages we support.
We would love for you to consider partnering with us in an array of great projects across two of Cambodia's poorest provinces by making a tax deductible donation today (or any day). You can contribute directly into our Australian working account ‘Supporting Cambodia’ BSB: 015-600 Account: 1967 91878 (Please include your name and email address in the transaction for a tax receipt) or with a credit card on our donation page.
All the best,
Rob
